Having completed the Berlin Marathon in September 2009 I had an urge to run the greatest marathon in the world i.e London Marathon and here I am training for the 42195 meter run on 25 April 2010. I am running the London Marathon 2010 for a charity called Plantlife (http://www.plantlife.org.uk).

About Plantlife

Plantlife is Britain's only national membership charity dedicated exclusively to conserving all forms of plant life in their natural habitat. Plantlife rescues wild plants from extinction, protects important plant habitats and influences policy and legislation for the benefit of wild plants. Conserving wild plants in their natural habitats is about more than plants, wildlife and ecosystems – it is about people and our need for food, medicines, fresh air and water, shelter, and a clean and healthy environment in which to live. Two thirds of the ‘services’ provided by nature to mankind are now in decline worldwide, and the ability of the planet’s ecosystems to sustain future generations can no longer be taken for granted. Hopefully you would agree that this is worthwhile cause, even a little sponsorship from you will go a long way to protect the environment for us & future generations.

About the charity

At Plantlife, our aim is to make lasting positive change for wildflowers, plants and fungi. Our goal is to help mitigate the impact of climate change while rebuilding biodiversity within our ecosystems. We regularly join forces with others to ensure our money, influence and impact can go further.
