For those of you who don’t know, this walk is in memory of the beautiful , the daughter of two of my oldest and closest friends Dan and Susie and the sister of George (my Godson) and Olivia, who was diagnosed with Mitochondrial disease in September last year and died on 28th November 2008, aged 15 months in her Mummy and Daddy's arms at home. Flopsy brought so much joy to all who had the privilege to meet her in her too short a life and she and her family are my inspiration behind this walk of 106 miles along the South West Path from Exmouth to .
The charity is looking to gain enough support to fund vital research into this little known disease and other metabolic disorders - and also to help the families affected, providing much needed support through this horrific and tragic time.
Donating through Justgiving is quick, easy and totally secure. It’s also the most efficient way to sponsor me: The Lily Foundation gets your money faster and, if you’re a taxpayer, Justgiving makes sure 25% in Gift Aid, plus a 3% supplement, are added to your donation.
Thank you so very much for your support.
