18 brave/unhinged employees, of varying athletic abilities, who all work for Tokio Marine Kiln have created a formidable-ish team to tackle the notorious Tough Mudder challenge (a 12 mile obstacle course across a muddy field in Winchester) this October. Rumour has it that the obstacles will include freezing water, fire and electricity, so all in all a fun day out. Fingers crossed for above freezing weather.
Why are we putting ourselves through this grueling ordeal? In order to raise as much money as we can for Macmillan Cancer Support - our charity of the year.
As you probably know Macmillan are an unparallelled help for people affected by cancer. Whether that be medical care, practical help at home, emotional support, or even financial advice. It is a cause very dear to many of the TMK people's hearts.
Please sponsor us to undertake this huge challenge and most importantly help us support Macmillan and all of the amazing work that they do for people affected by cancer.
Team TMK are: Yumi Ash, James Bowman, Robert Cox, Scott Curren, Dan Edgell, Daniel Fitzgerald, Joel Henson, Johnnie Keymer, Joshua Patterson, Sumit Paul, Simon Phillips, Stacey Richards, Sophie Ronald, Vicki Smeeth, Charlie Summers and Nick Vaux.
In the words of our resident team Yoda, James Bowman "In the warrior's code - there's no surrender, though his body says stop - his spirit cries - never! It's you against you, it's the paradox that drives us on."
