Hello, my name, as you can see is Talsa Middleton, and I am hoping to raise buckets of cash for the Derby Children’s Hospital.

Back in July 2010 I started on a quest to lose weight and get fit and healthy. I joined a slimming world group with my lovely partner Sally, whom I am marrying later this year (lucky girl).

It was under duress to start with, but it turned out to be something I am pleased to say I am proud of. I am currently at a weight loss of 2 stone 4.5lb, and still going to my target of 3 stone. Along with this, I decided to join a gym and get healthy, something which also is coming along very well. So what better way than to train for the Derby 10k run, and also raise money for a worthwhile local charity. The money raised will go towards buying things for the children all year round, like games and jigsaws etc. And hopefully, if I raise loads, I can buy Christmas gifts for those in hospital on Christmas day.

So I hope with everyone’s help, to get a fantastic amount and put a smile on the faces of children less fortunate than others on Christmas day.
