We work with farming communities in Uganda to kick poverty out of their lives

Story

Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.

On 12th September 2009 I will be running a Marathon in the beautiful Bordeaux region of France (http://www.marathondumedoc.com/) to raise money for Seeds for Development.

Through Seeds we provide direct help to farmers in Uganda who can barely feed their families, supporting them to build for themselves a sustainable route out of poverty. The aid provided so far has already made a huge difference to the lives of hundreds of people and raising more money will help us extend this further.

My target is £4,000 which would help get 100 farmers started with the equipment and seed to clear and farm an acre of land. The impact of this will improve the lives of over 1000 people currently living in extreme poverty in Uganda.

This means more families can build houses for their families to sleep in, put shoes on their childrens' feet and send their children to school.
