Tash Benson walks up Ben Nevis

Alzheimer's Society - Ben Nevis Challenge · 18 May 2012 ·
Hello you. In a few months from now I will be challenging myself/nearly killing myself by walking up Ben Nevis, the highest mountain in the UK, to raise some money for the Alzheimer's Society.
Why the Alzheimer's Society? Well, Alzheimer's disease is the most common form of dementia in the UK. People with Alzheimer's suffer progressive memory loss, problems with communication and reasoning. Currently it can't be cured but your donation to me, however small, will help and one day we might be able to treat it. 1 in 100 people will have Alzheimer's over the age of 60 and by 80 it rises to 1 in 6, sobering stuff eh? Your money could mean that when I'm old and you're old we won't have to suffer the same miserable fate that my granny, Kathleen Kneeshaw, endured in her twilight years.
I'm not doing this alone, I have an equally insane partner in crime in Leanne Jones, one of my fellow radiographers at the Royal Bolton Hospital.
Here's what your cash could do right now.
Thanks for reading and a massive thank you if go that one step further and donate your hard earned money, I really do appreciate every last pound.
Love Tash
