Experience Camps is an organization that provides support, tools and safe space for kids who have experienced the loss of a loved one (parent, sibling, etc).  I have been volunteering with ExCamps for 4+ years and have seen the effect that just one week can have on the lives of these kids - it's personally changed my life in so many incredible ways and I'm asking for your help to ensure every child who has experienced a loss has the opportunity to attend this camp.  We can help to make this world a better place for hundreds (and thousands!) of kids BUT WE CAN'T DO IT WITHOUT YOU!

The camp is just one week but the amount of energy, love, support and fun that's packed in is unmatched.  Campers get to just be kids and spend time with others that have similar experiences... for one week they aren't "the kid who's dad died".  Volunteers spend the week ensuring that each camper has the best time possible - while the professional clinicians work with the campers to talk about their grief and provide them tools to take home with them for the other 51 weeks during the year.

Our organization is scrappy and donations of any size go a LONG way towards changing lives.  For example: $1,000 pays for an entire week of camp for one child.  My goal is to send 5 new kids to camp this year by raising $5,000.
