Story

PLEASE LEND YOUR SUPPORT!

Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page. In a moment of what could be described as madness I’ve committed to taking to the dance floor – under the obligatory glitter ball – to help raise funds for The Prince and Princess of Wales Hospice in Glasgow.

On the evening of March 10, 2018, I will swap my scissors for my dancing shoes!

Along with eight other brave souls, we will compete in the hugely popular (A Little Less) Strictly Come Dancing event. With my professional dance partner Maria Oakes – a two-times event champion – we’ll be doing the American Smooth in front of a packed ballroom at the Hilton Hotel in the city. Maria is aiming for the hat-trick. I’m aiming to complete my two-minute swirl around the dance floor in one piece!

My black patent dance shoes are on order. My rehearsal space is booked. Spray tan is booked. Now I just need my clients, friends and business associates to rise to the occasion and support me – and, in turn, help the very worthy cause that is the hospice which first opened its doors back in 1980. They’re moving to a new purpose built complex at Bellahouston Park and are short of £1.3 million to reach their £21 million target for the build.

This is how you can help. You can sponsor me at this page! Or you can contact Anne on to pledge support. We’ll take cash, cheques – even Bitcoins!

We’re also keen to secure a couple of businesses for corporate sponsorship – and if you can help us with that your logo can appear in the programme and on the screens at this high profile, sell-out event. We’ll also blast your logo all over our social media platforms and credit your full support.

BIG THANKS if you can support this effort and many thanks too for taking the time to read about ‘my journey’ – that’s what the telly Strictly contestants talk about so I better get with the lingo! We'll update as we go along...
