Earlier this year we lost our friend and colleague Mark Rands-Trevor. Growing Well at Low Sizergh Farm, just outside Kendal helped Mark with his battle with mental health. We would like to raise funds in his memory to enable Growing well to continue their valuable work.

Each year at Lakeland Gardens Ltd we organise a works Christmas do with a difference. This year it's Norway and the frozen Hardangervidda plateau. On the 27th February 24 of team Lakeland Gardens are headed out to cross part of the Hardangervidda plateau. This is a remote and committing trip. We are all excited of the enticing challenge of being completely self-supported as we journey through this arctic environment pulling pulks and camping on frozen lakes.

Our aim with this trip is not only to raise funds for the Growing well but also to raise awareness in our local community, we need to encourage people to start to talk about their mental health much more openly. In time, creating a culture where those suffering in silence can talk openly about their illness
