Team Sink or Swim are Jim Parry, Liz Parry, Hannah Parry, Adam Goody and Tara Muthoora we have been on a rigorous training programme over the summer, which has included dips in Lake Como and lying about by the side of the Lido in Mennagio, Italy!  We have negotiated the trials of getting into and out of wetsuits and have seen photos of the prehistoric monsters that swim within the depths of Lake Windermere.  So all of us are totally prepared to swim a mile in the open waters of Lake Windermere for the Great North Swim on 12 September 2009!

We are braving the elements in memory of Dan Parry a brother, friend and partner who was truly loved and is deeply missed.  Dan was a youth worker for Barnardos Futures in Leeds, a project that supports boys and young men in fulfilling responsible and secure relationships.  Dan loved his work with this project and so we hope with your support we can raise funds to help secure its future work with many more of the often forgotten young people.
