Story
Having spent two years restoring Adam's Triumph Dolomite, we were looking for an opportunity to put some miles on it- what better than the Club Triumph Round Britain Reliability Run, 2000 miles around Britain in 48hrs in a 34 year old Triumph, and raising some money for a good cause while we do it?
One Friday evening early in October we'll be meeting at a North London pub, with 100+ other Triumphs, and heading North. All being well we'll be at John O' Groats for breakfast on Saturday morning, before running back down through Scotland, NE England and Wales all the way down to Land's End for breakfast on Sunday. It's then a nice easy (!) jaunt back to London for the finish, 48hrs after we set off.
The event is run every 2 years- Adrian completed it last year in a Triumph Stag, whilst it's a new experience for Adam and Matt. At the time of writing the car has done less than 200 miles in 2 years; 2000 miles in 2 days will be quite a challenge for the car as well as the drivers! The entrants cover all costs (route maps, fuel etc) so rest assured that all the money raised goes to the charity.
This year's chosen charity is MacMillan Cancer Support, which I'm sure you'll agree is a worthwhile cause- so please give generously, and wish us luck!
