Story
Some of you may remember that I took part in the London Marathon back in 2005 to raise funds for the charity I work for, the National Hospital Development Foundation. When asked, shortly after crossing the finish line, if I would do it again I said "Not for at least 5 years, or long enough to forget this one!" Sadly, my pledge was remembered so on 23 May 2010 I will be trudging around the course of the Edinburgh Marathon. I thought a change of scenery might help. This time, I felt I would benefit from some company and so I've managed to persuade three of my younger (some might say naive) siblings to join me in the hope that, if all else fails, they can drag me to the finish.
Team Dauncey, comprising Julie-Anne, William, Christopher and myself, could really use your support. As the miles clock up over the next few months and on the day itself it will spur us on to know that the money raised for Molly's Fund - the appeal set up by the National Hospital Development Foundation in memory of little Molly Lane Fox to set up the UK's first brain tumour unit - is increasing as well. My husband, Jorge, will have been under the care of the National Hospital for a brain tumour for seven years in May so this appeal could not be more important to me personally.
Every year, 5000 people are diagnosed with a primary brain tumour in the UK so we would like to raise at least this amount in pounds. In fact, we hope to raise substantially more.

Thank you so much for your support! We'll let you know how we get on.
