Story
Tim, Kim and the locals being Pete, Mike, Vickie, Inga, Shannon, Jez, Alex and Ben are embarking on a DIRTY ADVENTURE and taking on the GRIM......!!
In moment of madness and only ever so slightly infused with alcohol.....the decision was made to task ourselves with the challenge of the GRIM...!!!
We are of the 40+ young age group (apart from a couple of 20+..you know who you are.!) who are in need of direction with our fitness. There could be no better way than to follow in the well trodden footsteps of the British Army and take part in the GRIM CHALLENGE.
Training has taken place over the last 8 weeks in sun rain and now darkness and gales! The team spirit is strong and unwavering with the challenge ahead - good job we've all got a sense of humour!
The 9 mile cross country course, up and down tracks, through waist deep puddles the Army use for training holds no fear for us (should it?!). That's how confident we all feel with our training.
And all this sweat, blood, tears and bravado is in aid of an incredible cause.
We are supporting the marvellous Phyllis Tuckwell. This hospice for terminally ill patients and their families has touched so many of us - many who are in the team. The staff at the hospice perform an amazing job at a time when a friendly supportive face is so important.
Help us to help them..........dig deep and be generous.
And if you fancy coming and watching us get filthy The Grim Challenge is on Saturday 5th December at 10.30am Aldershot Raceway/Rushmoor Arena GU11 2HL
