We are powered by people. We’re here to find a cure and improve lives, together.

Story

This month one of my best friends, my dad, was diagnosed with Parkinson's. He was contacted straight away by Parkinson's UK and we have been inspired by the support they offer to everyone affected by the disease.

This is a vital charity that is already helping my family to understand the condition and to take positive steps. It provides support and funds life-changing research into the disease, ensuring that no one faces Parkinson's alone.

I aim to raise money by walking 7 miles in Harrogate to promote this cause, meanwhile gaining a greater understanding of the condition and meeting others whose lives have been impacted by it. My partner Ben will also be walking as part of Team Rover!

Any small amount you can donate will be greatly appreciated. (If you would like to walk with me, even better!) Raising awareness is absolutely key and I aim to do this by creating a blog during the run-up to the walk, telling our story and hoping to hear others'.

Anyone can get Parkinson’s. It gets worse over time and there’s no cure. Yet. Funding research into the most promising treatments, we’re getting closer to a cure. Until then, we're improving life for people with Parkinson’s, and the people in their lives. Together we'll find a cure.
