Story
Since William was poorly at 10 days old, I've asked people to help me raise funds for the Paediatric Intensive Care Unit at Southampton General Hospital. There have been bike rides, quiz nights, cake sales and a ball to look forward to in October.
All of these have been good fun and challenging but not as difficult as my latest scheme to extract money from my friends and family.
I've decided to do the Great South Run. Training started in May. I thought I was fairly fit but nothing like taking up a new exercise regime to realise I'm not. GSR is a 10 mile road race around Portsmouth and Southsea, and its certainly going to be a challenge for me.
All the money raised will go towards a new ambulance. The ambulance is required in 2 years and will cost in excess of £120,000. I must raise £200 for my place in the race, so please help me and FoPICU.
