Dear Bromborough Golf Club Member. In March 2014 my doctor sent me to see a consultant as my Cholesteral levels and blood pressure were etremely high. Apparrently this was due to my excessive eating and drinking , the latter being the main reason. To be fair, I may have an inclanation of this prior to my visit . It was when he mentioned to me that if I did not mend my ways I may not be here in 10 years, strangely this seemed to grab my attention. It was at this point I decided to start pounding the pavements. Then one fine afternoon whilst playing golf with our Captain , Mr Mike Heathfield he mentioned that one of his Charity's this year was the Stroke Association . Still to this day I do not what happened but out of my mouth came " I'll run the Liverpool half marathon for you ". Dohhhhhh Joking aside I'm now the fittest I've been in twenty years and over a stone lighter with cholestral and blood pressure levels under control. Ladies and gents if you can please spare a couple of quid and support this worthwhile charity, Our Captain and I would appreciate it and hopefully I can do the rest.
