Story

The National Dinner Party in Aid of Hounds for Heroes 14/15 September 2012

24 Sep Update.....More off line donations to be reported :)....

Tony L - £265, Caroline R £380, Mr T £100, Anne R £30..... and that is still only about 10% of the known events....

17 Sep Update.....well, lots of Dogs DInners were served over the weekend and we look forward to see the donations appear here - if you were a host and are making the donation in otherways, please let us know so we can account for it as an offline donation.

So, we have and Offline donation total of £387 from the Dogs Dinner PawPawty and £410 in cheques from the Steep "Pop Up" another £490 in cash will get added later.  Plus we know of at least £250 more on Facebook and lots we have yet to hear about.....

Keep checking.....

So what is a National Dinner Party?

Quite simply, it's what you want it to be.  We envisage a number of scenarios, ranging from "a Restaurant in my House", a quiet dinner party for friends, to beer and pizza in front of the telly/PlayStation.   All these scenarios have one thing in common - To raise money for Charity - Hounds for Heroes.

How does it work?

1.  Well firstly the host puts the date in their diary and start the ball rolling by deciding what sort of event they are going to put on.

2.  In the near future we launch a registration page on this site where hosts can "register" their event so we can track the money raised and offer tips and tricks to maximise the fun of the evening and the cash raised.

3.  We hope that we will have a celebrity chef or two create a menu - who knows pehaps M&S will creat a Dine in for two for the event!

4.  Host invites guests, telling them that this is a charity event and they are to bring lots of cash

5.  Keep an eye out for a Twitter Feed and Facebook Page and updates to this site

6.  The Dogs Dinner Date arrives and the host puts on a great evening, the guests have a great time and decide to cough up the readies big style.

7.  The host pays the money in as described, in near future, on this site

We announce the total.....

What is the target?

If all goes well, we will get 1000 Dogs Dinner Dinner Parties happening on the two nights.  If each host averages 6 guests and they average £20 (and clearly most dinner party goers will pay much more :)) each dinner party will raise £120, so on two nights the National Dinner Party will raise £120,000 - enough to cover the through life costs of the annual intake of Hounds for Heroes Assistance Dogs.
