Thank you for taking the time to visit our Barwood Capital Just Giving page where we are seeking to raise £2,500 on behalf of The Hope Centre, based in Northampton.

During this challenging period for the UK where we are experiencing a prolonged period of lockdown and isolation, we have decided to come together as a business and commit our 1 hour daily exercise to helping a good cause. 

The challenge is for our staff to collectively walk, run or cycle the 590 miles from our most southern asset at Selsey to our most northern at Dundee. We will collate the miles that the team travels each day during exercise in their local area. Our deadline is 7th May.

Every mile and every penny counts in our effort to raise funds for a charity that continually strives to have a positive effect on the lives of people in Northampton who are affected by poverty, homelessness and related problems.

Hope has been serving the community of Northampton for 45 years. From their beginnings feeding the homeless in the town, they have evolved into a much wider charity, with a range of services for a much wider client group.

Services for homeless people are still a huge part of their work and they offer help through their day centre and linked training and casework services to manage the impact of homelessness and help people move on.

Hope also works to assist people with other needs: isolation, loneliness, addictions, mental health problems, abuse, trauma. The linking theme is often poverty, and poverty is central to their mission.
