On the 17th of Ramadan over 1,400 years ago one of the most significant events took place in Islamic History - the Battle of Badr. 

"Allah had certainly granted you victory at [the battle of] Badr whilst you were few in number" [3:123] 

The Prophet Muhammad ﷺ and 313 of his blessed companions took on an army of over 1,000 and were granted victory by Allah Almighty!

We at Cann Hall Masjid are commemorating this event by introducing our new fundraising campaign 'The 313'. We are looking for 313 brave brothers and sisters to step up and donate £313 each. I have decided to take this on, and I call on everyone else to do the same!

The Masjid is located in Leytonstone, London and requires urgent funding for:

- Refurbishment works

- New wudhu facilities

- Help to overcome debts

"Let a person of wealth spend from their wealth, and whomsoever's wealth has been restricted, let them spend from what Allah has given them, Allah does not burden a soul more than He has given it, Allah will bring about ease after hardship" [65:7]
