Story
In 2018, a sports injury suffered 14 days before the race denied me the change to go one better and break 1h40m all in the name of charity
After 2 operations and 9 months of rehabilitation I'm going for it again - all in the name again of InKind Direct, a fantastic charity which redistributes surplus consumer goods from companies such as Amazon, to worthy causes across the United Kingdom.
Any donation, large or small, is hugely appreciated.
Founded by the Prince of Wales in 1996, In Kind Direct runs a unique service distributing consumer products from manufacturers and retailers to UK charities working at home and abroad.
Organisations benefiting are mostly small, local projects and organisations without the resources of the large national charities. Examples include women’s refuges, youth projects, disability groups, community centres, hospices, children’s homes, elderly people’s support, etc.
Since foundation, In Kind Direct has distributed over £200 million in value of goods to more than 9,600 charities saving over 25,000 tonnes of products from going to landfill/waste.
