On the 5th January 2010 our beautiful daughter Eva was born, she was rushed to the neonatal unit where she tragically died the next day. We discovered that she had an illness we had not heard of before, ARPKD. It was a further shock to learn that this is is a genetic condition. In the short time after the death and diagnosis of Eva’s ARPKD, we were able to access a wealth of information from the PKD Charity and understand the importance of the research they do and promoting awareness of both ARPKD and ADPKD. The PKD Charity helped us to understand what this meant for us and our children.
I started running as a way to raise money in memory of Eva. I ran my first 10k in May 2015 raising money for a local bereavement support charity. I’ve progressed to a half marathon this year, for which my time was 1 hour and 42 minutes and I am training hard for the London marathon in April 2017.
Please support me in my goal of raising as much money for the PKD Charity.
