Story

NEXT EVENT :-)

Ben Nevis Challenge

The IT and Facilities teams will be climbing the Titan House
stairs enough times to equal the height of Ben Nevis.

Ben Nevis stands at 1345 metres and amounts to climbing and
descending the stairs 122 times (7930 steps up and 7930 steps down)! If we can
manage each ascent and descent in 2 minutes, we will be walking up and down the
stairs for just over 4 hours; this is an optimistic estimation and will be
extremely challenging.

Some figures

  • The Titan House steps are just under 17cm in
height, we rounded up to 17cm
  • There are 65 steps
  • 17cm x 65 (steps) = 1105cm or 11.05 metres
  • 1345 (Height of Ben Nevis) / 11.05 (Total height
of Titan House steps) = 121.72 (we rounded up to 122).

So… Sponsor the intrepid team now, on their adventure of a
lifetime for this very worthy cause.!

Well done Everyone Involved.!

Richard Button will be doing a cycling challenge.
I will be cycling up ditchling beacon near brighton at least 30 times to raise money. The beacon is the third highest point over the South Downs at a height of approximately 886 ft. It was originally featured on part of the climb on the Tour de France in 1994 and also part of the route on the tour of Britain in 2014. I will be looking to do as many as I can per hour to do it. Please sponsor me with as much or as little as you want to no pressure. Please sponsor me for s very good cause indeed. Thanks Richard

At Titan, as well as offering award-winning holidays across the world to thousands of UK travellers each year, we also try to be as responsible as possible, and our charity support goes a long way towards achieving this. Two years ago we launched a partnership with a charity local to our head office. The Golden Lion Children’s Trust supports children with special needs and disadvantaged young people in Sussex, Surrey and Kent, improving the quality of life for them and their families. For two crazy and colorful weeks each year, Titan fundraisers for this great cause. Linda Guy, Chairman of the Golden Lions Children’s Trust, said the following about our support of the charity:

“With funds raised by Titan,
Golden Lion Children’s Trust recently took disadvantaged children to enjoy The Railway Children at Kings Cross Station Theater and two groups of teenage football fans with special needs to tour Wembley Stadium. On Christmas Eve, we delivered sacks of presents to children of local families in crisis. Thank you Everyone at Titan for making these projects possible.”
