This year, I will be running the Royal Parks Half Marathon for Dandelion Time. I was kindly nominated to take part when our new company charity was announced.

Dandelion Time is a local charity based in West Farleigh working hard to transform the lives of vulnerable children. Having read more into the work they do, I feel honoured to be able to help out by attempting to run this half marathon. If my suffering isn’t enough for you, I ask you to donate based on the great work they do.

Whilst real runners may see the half marathon as a cop-out in comparison to a proper marathon, it’s worth bearing in mind the only club I am a member of is Slimming World so waddling 21km is enough of a slog for me.

Who knows, this might also help me on my journey to shed a few pounds (lbs)! I’d like to take this opportunity to invite you to shed a few pounds (£s) too by donating to the cause.

I’ll be donating too, based on 50p per minute I take to complete. Hopefully that means I can try put in a respectable time whilst I am there. Failing that, I’ll pay the price… Regardless, the real winners will be the charity.
