Tony Pye, passed away peacefully on February 20th 2022, after moving into St George's Nursing Home in Witham six weeks earlier.

Born in Braintree, Essex on 29th September 1930, Tony moved to Earls Colne with his family in 1939. 

In 1955, Tony and Jean moved to Coggeshall Road where they lived for 60 years in the house Tony built.

Following the births of Richard and Sally, Great Ormond Street hospital held a very special place in Tony's heart.

In 2015, Jean and Tony moved to Chinnerys Court in Braintree, bringing him back full circle to where his journey began some 84 years earlier.

On February 20th, 2022, at the ripe old age and 91, Tony passed away peacefully with his son and daughter at his side. 

Tony's wish was that any donations kindly given should go to Great Ormond Street Hospital.
