Not sure exactly why, but I enrolled to swim, cycle and run the Mazda London Triathlon on the 7th of August 2010. As it is a first for me, I am going for the sprint distance: 750m Swim / 20km Bike / 5km Run.

To make sure I don't give up in the middle of training, I have decided to give it a purpose, which is worth training for. I am raising some money for Whizz-Kids, a charity that is all about giving disabled children and young people the independence to enjoy an active childhood – at home, at school and at play.

By providing them with mobility equipment, training, advice and life skills, Whizz-Kids actually give them something much more important; the independence to be themselves. Whizz-Kids makes an immediate and life changing difference to their lives and their families.
