Usborne and Beanstalk in 2013

Both Usborne and Beanstalk are celebrating their 40 anniversaries this year, and, to celebrate this, Usborne is proud to have chosen Beanstalk as their charity of the year for 2013. We are aiming to raise enough money – through a variety of fundraising events throughout the year – to pay for 40 individual reading sessions a month for a whole year, and to donate enough books to provide one for each child that Beanstalk will be supporting during 2013.

 

Over the last seven years, Usborne Publishing has contributed over £35,000 to support the training of Usborne employees as reading helpers in local schools; at least 10 Usborne employees per year have volunteered their time each week to help them local children read, grow and succeed. We have also donated a considerable number of books to the charity.

We hope that you will help us reach our target and help us celebrate the ongoing work of both Usborne and Beanstalk!
