Story
On Sunday 6th October I'll be abseiling 165ft from the Forth Rail Bridge with my colleague Richenda in aid of Age Scotland, the national charity for older people.
As well as providing help and advice through their free helpline, supporting community groups, making workplaces more age inclusive, influencing policy makers and campaigning to make Scotland the best place in the world to grow older, Age Scotland also tackles loneliness and isolation in older people.
Loneliness is a public health crisis. It's as bad for your health as smoking 15 cigarettes a day. Today, at least 100,000 older people in Scotland feel lonely all or most of the time. That's one older person on every street in Scotland. With your support we can change that and help Age Scotland achieve its mission to cut loneliness in half by 2025.
Any donation you can make will be greatly appreciated and will give me the boost to step over the edge of that bridge (I won't look down)!!
Thanks for reading and thanks in advance for your support.
