Dad was diagnosed with cancer earlier this year, his determination, fighting spirit and resilience was an inspiration to everyone around him. Dad never stopped believing which instilled the notion of hope within us all, especially with that heartwarming smile, and mischievous sense of humour.

As a family we have come to truly sympathise with terminal cancer patients, and all those impacted around them. The last few months were so hard for Dad, and us all, witnessing his health gradually deteriorate, and feeling helpless that we could do nothing more than just being there in support. 

In such difficult times hospices like Treetops gave us the support we needed. Voluntary nurses would offer day and night sit in support, giving Dad specialist care and his family the time to have a reprieve.
