We help over 2,000 local people each year to live their precious lives well

Story

Two years ago I took part in this fantastic event and a lot of you were very generous in helping Mary and I  raise £2000 for the Hospice of St Francis.

I think enough time has passed so I don't feel awkward asking for more of your help for this fantastic cause.

I am still volunteering at the Hospice and I still look forward to my evening shift, which may sound bizarre, but after a hard days work it sort of brings you back down to earth and makes you realise that whatever is going on in your life someone else has it much worse. I don't volunteer for that reason its just a by product.

The Hospice needs Millions of pounds annually to keep it running, most of that money comes from donations and sponsorship.

About the charity

The Hospice helps people to live their precious lives well. Our care has many forms – at home, in our outpatient Spring Centre or through specialised care in one of our Hospice beds - and is defined by each person's need. We rely on donations to raise the £5m we need each year to fund our free care.
