We work with young women to improve their lifelong opportunities

Story

On the 8th September 2022 women working in Wates London Construction and Residential are taking part in the inaugural Walk for Women to walk a half marathon between the live Wates projects within London.

We are fundraising for the Young Women's Trust who are a feminist organisation working to achieve economic justice for young women.

The Young Women's Trust are a Wates charity partner dedicated to improving gender equality by supporting more women into male-dominated industries such as construction. Our Chairman, Sir James Wates was appointed as the charity's first ambassador in 2017.

Wates are supporting the Young Women's Trust's ambition to help 10,000 disadvantaged women over the next three years by unlocking a host of pathways for them to enter the construction industry. This event will contribute towards this goal.

Please donate generously - all donations will be matched by the Wates Family Enterprise Trust up to £500 per participant.

If you are not in a position to donate, please share this page and spread the word!

Thank you,

Lizzy & Tilly
