Story
I've decided to do something positive, that I enjoy and that has helped my mental health over this year to help the amazing Wellow Ward team at St Mary's Hospital. This Tuesday we are going to climb Scafell and Thursday do the Yorkshire 3 peaks challenge (all as long as we can and Bozzer doesn't lock it down)
The Wellow Ward is a new ward to St Mary's and specialises in end of life care. Nan was there for 4 days and the care they gave not only us as the family but Nan was just amazing. They gave Nan dignity and peace on her last days on this earth. I hope no one has to go there anytime soon to visit friends or relatives but if you do you will be taken care of, supported and understood. They allow you to be with your loved one, feed you, let you stay as long (or overnight) as you like and in these days of covid is just incredible.
Thank you very much for your donation. It really means a lot to me and to Isle of Wight NHS Trust Charitable Funds. The trust have ensured this money will go to the Wellow Ward as there are some things they still need to help other families.
