We raise funds to provide vital therapy for people with MS

Story

It has taken me nearly a year to be able to introduce Bowen Therapy into the MS Centre. Bowen Therapy has kept my mobility as good as what it is and has meant that I have been pretty much pain-free for a long time, and I wanted other people in my position to benefit as much as I have. But the only way to do this was if I alone were to fundraise for this wonderful therapy to be able to go ahead within the MS Centre. I need to raise £5000 per year to ensure the survival of this wonderful therapy.

The Bowen Technique is a remedial hands-on therapy that is applied using very gentle pressure. There is no manipulation or adjustment of hard tissue and no force is used. The experience of a treatment is gentle, subtle and relaxing. It is believed that the Bowen Technique prompts the body to reset, repair and balance itself and clients report the experience of pain relief, improvement of function and recovery of energy. It is mainly about stimulation of the muscles which in turn helps to release nerves, tendons and ligaments. It helps the blood to flow which increases oxygen flow around the body, amongst other things, which helps the healing process.
