We help the hospital offer a better future to seriously ill children across the UK

Story

We have all decided to run/jog/crawl the Chicago marathon on Sunday 7th October in aid of Great Ormond Street Hospital (GOSH, www.gosh.org). GOSH helps more than 90,000 seriously ill children a year suffering from rare, complex and often life-threatening conditions. This is the best medical care that money can buy but, such care and treatment would not be possible without the additional funding which tops up the NHS resources - which is why we are asking you to help by sponsoring us, as healthy adults, in taking part in a rather foolish Sunday morning "stroll" in theWindyCity!

In addition to the goals/reasons below, we are all aiming just to complete it, however, feel free to double that bet/sponsorship as incentive!

Alan – To keep blisters, chaffing, bleeding, etc. to an absolute minimum....

Bex - Last EVER marathon & aiming for under (or 'near') 4 hours....
Henry - Not to cover himself this time from head to toe in sticky sports drinks....
Ned - My competitive advantage is resting....
Jim - Survival, (although last spotted in West London sporting a tan obtained at a high-altitude Kenyan training camp, supposedly filming a 'documentary feature'....)

Please sponsor us to raise money for such a great cause. The money you donate will go straight to the charity.

Many thanks,
Alan, Bex, Henry, Jim & Ned
