Story
In June 2007, I was diagnosed with breast cancer.
In October 2010, I'll be 50.
Put these two facts together and what do you get?
- A wildly optimistic middle-aged woman determined to achieve something significant.
- A survivor who wants to celebrate her 50 years of life.
- A victim who wants to give something back to her fellow victims.
- A lazy couch potato who needs an incentive to get and stay fit.
Ladies and gentlemen, our target this year is £1,000. Breast Cancer Care demands that I raise at least £500, but I've set the bar a little higher because £185 of that £500 pays for my participation in the event and I don't think it's appropriate that you should pay for my food and lodgings. I want every penny you contribute to go to the charity.
Donating through JustGiving is simple, fast and totally secure. Your details are safe with JustGiving – they’ll never sell them on or send unwanted emails. Once you donate, they’ll send your money directly to the charity and make sure Gift Aid is reclaimed on every eligible donation by a UK taxpayer. So it’s the most efficient way to donate - I raise more, whilst saving time and cutting costs for the charity.
So please dig deep and donate now.
Thank you,
Yvonne
