Pets becoming victims of the recession

I am running the New Balance English Half-Marathon not only because it's a great challenge but also to help RSPCA dealing with the rising number of animals that are being dumped by their owners as a consequence of the recession. If charities don't receive our support in order to deal with a massive influx of unwanted cats and dogs, they may have to put down healthy animals!
