Action for Sick Children’s mission is to ensure that healthcare in the UK continues to meet the unique needs of all children, young people and their families.

WHAT WE DO - THE HERE AND NOW:

• To continue to grow and advance THE DENTAL PLAYBOX® PROJECT - educating children through the powerful medium of play, about the importance of good oral health which is vital to a child’s social and psychological welfare and in the avoidance of more serious long term illness.
• Toprovide essential play resources to sick children in hospitals across the UK through THE MAGICAL POWER OF PLAY APPEAL
• To provide vital practical support and advice through our HELPLINE and other outlets, assisting families with healthcare related issues on an individual basis.
• To campaign for the specific needs of children’s healthcare and address current issues by engaging with government authorities and healthcare professionals. 
• To support other organisations within the children’s healthcare system and contribute towards the fundamental continued improvements required.
• To continue to raise awareness amongst professionals, decision makers, and the general public of the specific healthcare needs of children and young people.
