Name – Emma Hargreaves
Job Role – L3 Acute Test Lead
Running History to date – I’ve run two 10k races before – one when I was 18 and one a few weeks ago.
Reason for the GNR – To give me a goal to work towards – my sessions at the gym were tailing off and I was not as motivated as I could have been. Martin House is a great cause and I hope we meet our sponsorship target.

Name Phil Hudson.
Job Role – Consultant.
Running History to date – Absolutely none.
Reason for the GNR – Always wanted to do a half marathon and there is no better one to do than the GNR.

Name – Chris Austin.
Job Role – Change Management.
Running History to date – I’ve run the odd 10k race for the past 2 years and have now run out of excuses for moving up a distance.
Reason for the GNR – Several reasons : I’m ready to make the step up from 10k races to something longer distance, It will help raise money for a very good cause… and I may as well put my flashy new running shoes to good use!

Name - Paul Burton.
Job Role - Shift Team lead.
Running History to date - I can’t say that I’m new to the Great North Run as I have ran it once before and in a pretty good time at that. However as that was 14 years ago,  at the time I was 4 stone lighter and I haven’t done any running in the last 7 years other than to get in out of the rain I’m going to have to work pretty hard to get any where near the 1 hour 45 mins target that I’ve set.
Reason for the GNR - To try and imporve my fitness while raising money for a chaity who really needs the money.

Name - Katie Bretherick.
Job Role - Orientation & Integration.
Running history to date - Started running last year and haven’t stopped! Done a 5km and 10km race for Cancer Research but GNR will be longest race so far.
Reason for the GNR - I was organising the race for other people and then decided I wanted to get involved. The GNR is a great motivator for improving my running and I get a weekend in Newcastle…Bonus!

Name – David Cressey
Job Role – Release Management
Running history to date – 3 half marathons inc GNR 3 more planned half marathons planned this year
Reason for the GNR – Raise Money for a charity, run with colleagues, introducing my wife to running!!

Name - Ian Cayley
Job Role - Client Financial Management (CFM) Analyst. My role in the Finance Team involves calculating and receiving invoices, doing the financial reporting for addition services, pricing possible future projects and also producing billings/cash forecasts.

Running history to date
- Always been a keen sportsman but have only started running in last 6/8 months. No serious 'history', just enjoy running to keep fit and healthy.
Reason for GNR - I lived in Newcastle for 4 years whilst at University and it was something I always wanted to do. When the opportunity arose to run this year for such a worthy charity I jumped at the chance.

Name – Lesley Parker
Job Role – ‘Unit Management Office Team Lead’ within the Service Architecture & Compliance Team (if website go-live is after 3/04 my role will be ‘Vendor Management Lead’ within Applications Support
Running history to date – Personal fitness only
Reason for the GNR – Ready for a new fitness challenge, never done a half marathon before and would like to run in the London marathon in 2007

Name - Martin Ainsworth
Job Role - DBA Team Lead
Running History to date - Started running 3 and a half years ago after a break of 12 years from doing cross-country and 800 metres at school. Started to run 10k runs and have completed a few half-marathons. Stopped running last year after completing the London Marathon...
Reason for the GNR - To beat Andrew Moore.

Name – Nikki Follett
Job Role – Technical Support
Running history to date – Running for about 3 years (treadmills/road) and fell running for 1 year. Competed in local races with my running club.
Reason for the GNR – To raise money for a charity and gain more experience with running half marathons.

Name - Andrew Moore
Job Role - SSO Technical Specialist
Running History to date - I once ran for my school aged 12. Now have to run when playing football every week. Have tried a few short 3 mile runs recently and found that though a big distance is a problem - speed is not...something to work on.
Reason for the GNR - Really fancy a huge personal challenge by having to run 13.1 miles. All this whilst raising money for those who really need it and getting to run with some friends. And hey it attracts 50000 people so it must be good...and most people want to beat me.
