Alleluia, l've done it... ouch my knee!

So what about my marathon debut? Well, it was a very wet morning, l was soaking wet and thought this was going to be a nightmare! This was after a night in an 8-bed dormitory sharing with seven girls celebrating end of exams...yes, l was the only bloke...no sleep there then! Anyways in the first half of the race l was flying to 13.1 mile half-way point in an hour and a half! However l made the mistake of trying to do the whole marathon in 3 hours (instead of my target of 3 1/2 hours) and ended-up damaging my left knee as a consequence of sprinting the next five miles. After 19 miles l was limping to the end ....ahh the agony! l just had to laugh about it at the end.

HOPE's aims and objectives are to assist children, who suffer through being handicapped, orphaned, poor and exploited, in particular those living in developing countries. This is achieved through providing, promoting and advancing children's rights to basic necessities, including education and health care, aimed at sustaining their long term development.
