Dear Family, Friends & Colleagues,

Most of you will know that a few months ago Krista and I lost our beautiful daughter, Esme Rose. Esme was born sleeping May 21st 2007 and ever since we have battled to come to terms with this tragedy. We have had incredible comfort and support from our friends and family during this time. Coping with this has been made easier by the support of the Sands (Stillbirth & neonatal death society) charity and especially our befrienders who have been available to talk whenever required.

To help raise money and awareness for Sands I will be completing the 'National 3 Peaks Challenge' this coming October. This challenge involves climbing Mount Snowdon (Wales), Scafell Pike (England), & Ben Nevis (Scotland). It is our aim to complete this within 24 hours, however I will be happy just to complete all 3 mountains in a decent time.

As many of you will know I used to be relatively active up until my cycling accident 4 years ago, although even before that I would have been unlikely to have attempted anything on this scale. This is where I need your help. I need you to sponsor me as much as you possibly can. This will not only help Sands in their work, but it will give me that extra drive to complete this challenge. My target is now £3500, (revised from £2000, £2500, and £3000 which all seemed ambitious at the time, but have been exceeded).
