Story
In November 2014, one of our close friends Aidan Carroll was left devastated with the news of having cancer. This was heartbreaking to his family and all who knew him.
When we heard of Aidan's passing on the 13th December 2015, just short of a week after his 17th birthday, we were left utterly saddened and with a deep hole in our hearts. Aidan was a genuine and charismatic young lad who had his whole life ahead of him.
Claire House Hospice brought comfort to Aidan's family after his passing and supported them through such a difficult time. To show our appreciation of this, and to remember an absolutely brilliant friend, we will be running the Great North Run 2020. All money raised will go directly to Claire House, which is a purely charity funded hospice.
2016 saw us smash our target of £1,000, when Millie Newall, Tom Taylor, Katy Smith, Rebecca Smith, Steve Smith, Michelle Newall and Chris Boynton ran the Chester Half Marathon for Claire House in memory of Aidan. In September 2019 Millie and Dom Gittings ran the Great North Run, exceeding their £700 target.
Thank you for all the continued support xxx
