From my sister Alison -
Please help the British Liver Trust!
As some of you know I was diagnosed 5 years ago with Auto Immune Hepatitis - a rare condition that has attacked my liver. My love of swimming has slightly gone on the back burner over the last 5 years... but with this incentive to get fit and over come my chronic fatigue I'm taking up the challenge!
Raising money for the BLT will help with future campaigns on the awareness of liver disease and help promote AIH - Auto Immune Hepatitis. It affects 1 in 10,000 people.. and I'm sure there are more of us.
This is a big challenge for myself to aim for. I have got a small team together - my unlce, aunt and sister Sharyn are joining me to swim the mile. My sisters partner is also voluntering!
Wish us luck with the training.. and for me to find an XXXXXL wetsuit! We will be swimming in the north sea in the spring to get used to the temperature of the water. BBBRRRRR
