Story
Thanks for visiting my fundraising page. I am running the Balmoral (Stena Drilling) Tartan 10k on 25th April to help RSVP (Rwandan School Village Project) bring lasting change to the lives of Rwandan children through education so they can support themselves as adults.
RSVP provides teacher training, curriculum books, school meals and a bursary scheme for individual children in secondary education.
Presently in Rwanda, only 1 in 3 children completes a full course of primary education; only 1 in 14 children goes on to secondary school and just 3% of the population make it to university.
RSVP is special in that no salaries are paid since everyone works as a volunteer. This enables RSVP spends as much money as possible at the point of need. Just 34p provides one child with a lunchtime meal.
So every penny put in really does make a difference. And donors can track their donations all the way to Rwanda. Please extend your helping hands to this appeal for RSVP to bring about a sustainable change in the lives of Rwanda's children.
More details on the mission, operations and impact of RSVP are available at http://www.rsvpcharity.org.uk/
Donating through Justgiving is quick, easy and totally secure. It’s also the most efficient way to sponsor me: Rwandan School Village Project gets your money faster and, if you’re a UK taxpayer, Justgiving makes sure 25% in Gift Aid, plus a 3% supplement, are added to your donation.
Many thanks in advance for your sponsorships!
