Story

Hi

Last year I agreed to climb Mt Snowdon with a group of friends to raise money for Lyndon House. After starting my training regime a full 2 weeks before the climb I was in no way prepared but the sense of achievement when reaching the summit was undescribable. Although thousands of people do it every year it felt like I had achieved something special; almost unique.

Early this year I, like many people, made a little list of things I wanted to achieve - I wanted 2010 to be a year where I have many new experiences, learn new things and see new things. On this list was "To do something big, really big". In April I took out my list and commited myself to achieving all that was on it and within 2 days I had booked myself on a trip to Tanzania to climb Kilimanjaro.

This will be an experience of a lifetime, it will help me acomplish a number of things on my 'list' but most of all it provides me with a personal challenge that will give me that great sense of achievement I expereinced with family and friends at the top of Mt Snowdon last year!

I am funding all costs of this trip myself but to miss the opportunity to raise some money at the same time would be selfish and a waste. Lyndon House offers great support to a fantastic young man that I know as well as his loving family.

So I would be grateful if you could donate a few pounds to Lyndon House via this webpage. There will be some of you reading this page who can afford to give more than just a few pounds - you will remain nameless for now but please be generous!

As I have said already, the charity is not paying for my trip, so all the money raised will go to Lyndon House.

Many thanks

Alan

p.s My training has already started... I'd better not leave this one to chance!
