Alex was diagnosed with Adrenaleukodystrophy ALD, at the age of 55 and only when in hospital in his last months. This was because most medical professionals know very little about this disease and it's diagnosis.

ALD is a worthwhile cause as they raise awareness and help research on this devastating illness that affects boys and men.

We know that Alex, being the kind man that he was would like to have helped others in his position.

The first £300, gifted to this page was from a collection held at Alex's funeral and was donated by his loving family and friends.
