Story
Our dad, Alexander Dodds passed away on Thursday October 18th 2018. He was a loved and cherished father, husband, son, brother, brother-in-law, uncle and friend to many. He spent his working life travelling the world and fell in love with every country he lived in. He always spoke of how every community should be allowed the opportunity to build it's own structure and way to earn money. However, so many of the poorest communities in countries like Indonesia are often struck with natural disasters that force them to start again. Our dad loved Indonesia both when we lived there and after we left. He spoke about it often and had some incredible and some challenging experiences there but he loved the people and the culture unconditionally. That's why we have decided to raise money for the recent earthquakes and tsunamis in Indonesia in his memory. A few of his international friends that cannot make the funeral have asked about donations or flowers. For anyone that wants to send flowers in condolences we ask that you instead donate to this page to help us do some good in his memory. He will be in our thoughts every day and we are all lucky to have known him and been a part of his life.
