Story
After years of watching the Flora London Marathon on television and enjoying all the colour and drama of the event, now I study in London, I have decided to take up the challenge and run 26.2 miles on Sunday 26th April 2008. I will be running for a worthwhile cause – Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation (JDRF) and will be part of a team of 130 athletes.
JDRF is the leading charitable organisation in the world with the primary objective of finding the cure for type 1 diabetes and its complications. Type 1 diabetes is a chronic, life-threatening condition that has a life-long impact on those diagnosed with it and their families. It normally strikes children. Incidences are increasing by approximately 4% each year, particularly in children under 5, with a five fold increase in this age group in the last 20 years. As a team of runners we are aiming to raise £305,000 and my objective is to contribute by raising a minimum of £1500!
I would be extremely grateful for your generous support.
