Story
Well we made it, it was very tough (though I'm sure the Tour De France riders won't make it look tough when they saunter through it in July!) but we actually finished both days comfortably ahead of schedule.
The Stats:126 miles, Time 9 hours 20 mins, Av speed 14.3 mph, Top speed 41.3 mph
Big thanks to you all for your generous donations, the total raised is now over £7000 (including the giftaid and the incredible £622 raised by Denise's coffee morning on Saturday) and might well make £8000 which is fantastic.
This will go directly to the woodland wards at Great Ormond Street (which is where Alice has mostly been). If you haven't donated and still want to then you can still donate on-line here until July.
As promised, we got dressed up in bunny ears and got tooted about every 100 yards for the whole journey (all positive apart from one farmer in kent who shouted over from his field 'we shoot rabbits round here' and a group of builders who all went 'Baaaaa' when we went past - dunno what sort of sheep they'd seen before!)
Support crew of Neil, Alison and Amanda were fantastic, as was our sending off comitee in London and our Welcoming commitee in Canterbury - so big thanks to all of you.
We're going to gather together the best of the photos and put them on a website which i'll link from this page as soon as we've done it.
