On Sunday 20th April I am running the Great Manchester 10k Run for Mencap. I would be really grateful if you could sponsor me. The money that you give will help Mencap make a huge difference to the lives of people with a learning disability and their families across the UK. Many people with a learning disability don't get equal rights or chances in life. A few facts to demonstrate this are:

- 9 out of 10 people with a learning disability are bullied on a regular basis

- Only 1 in 10 people with a learning disability has a job compared to 1 in 2 of disabled people in general

- 1 in 2 families with children with a learning disability live in poverty

Every person with a learning disability can make choices about how they want to live - they just need the right support for these choices to be fulfilled. The money you sponsor me will mean that more people with a learning disability can live the lives they want with the right support.
