+++UPDATE+++++

MISSION COMPLETE!

Just a note (albeit a late one - sorry!) to say thank you very much for all your donations and to let you know that we successfully completed the CLIC24 event!
It has been a very satisfying way to raise money for CLIC Sargent and remember our colleague and friend Kevin Phelps.

In total all members of the team have raised a massive £1873.05!

All the riders put in a fantastic effort with amazing support from Nat, Jon, Phil, Kev and Arron.
The weather was quite rubbish to say the least with high winds, cold rain and hail for most of the 24hrs! Thankfully most of the night riding was done in clear conditions.
It was a feat of endurance for both the riders and support team.

The final results were:-
Mudchucking for Mr Phelps => 258. Ewan, 259. Ted, 260. Ian A, 261. Jo  => TOTAL = 16 laps
The Alpine (Gear) Shifters => 19. Keith H, 20. Ryan, 21. Mike R, 22. Shelly  => TOTAL = 14 laps
Phelpsy Dirt Busters =>  9. Chris, 10. Darren M, 11. Dean M, 12. Esther  => TOTAL = 15 laps

For the Alpine teams, this represents a total lap count of 45 laps. Which is 387.9 miles! And 12,735m total ascent around the hilly Mendip course!
A fantastic effort from all our riders!

For a taste of the event and conditions involved please see the below video. See if you can spot Dean in one of our team t-shirts!

Thank you all once again and we look forward to leeting you all know what we plan for next years event.

+++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++

Thank you for visiting our fundraising page.

Firstly, we would like to thank all those who sponsored us over the years in our annual Kevin Phelps Race For Life Challenges

2006 - C2C Bike ride: http://www.justgiving.com/KevinPhelpsRACEFORLIFE

2007 - 3 Peaks walk: http://www.justgiving.com/kevinphelpsraceforlife2007

2008 - Natalie's Peru Inca Trail:  http://www.justgiving.com/peruincatrailtrek

We are taking the challenge again to raise as much as possible, and smash previous records, for CLIC Sargent this year in memory of our friend and colleague Kevin Phelps.

Our mission this year is to compete in the Clic24 Mountain Bike race. Details are here:- http://www.clic24.org.uk/

For the race, there will be 12 of us (Alpine employees and friends) in 3 teams of 4 riders attempting to do as many laps of the 10 mile off-road course as possible in 24 hours. We'll also have a non-riding support team to help us survive.

Each member of the team will take turns in a Le Mans style relay. That means at least 6 hours in the saddle and riding in complete darkness for a few of those. It should be a hoot.

Teams are:-

"Mudchucking for Mr Phelps" - Ewan Grey, Ian Adcock, Jo Hawkins and Ted Yamada

"Alpine Gear Shifters" - Keith Holness, Mike Reading, Ryan Butler and Shelly Dhand

"Phelpsy Dirt-Busters" - Esther Purdy, Darren Miller, Dean Miller and Chris Mumford

Please dig deep and sponsor us online.

Donating through this site is simple, fast and totally secure. It is also the most efficient way to sponsor us: CLIC Sargent will receive your money faster and, if you are a UK taxpayer, an extra 28% in tax will be added to your gift at no cost to you.

So please sponsor us now!

Many thanks for your support.
