Story
Having habitually worn my hair very short for some 25 years I was a little lax in having it cut nearly three years ago and it became noticeably longer than normal. About that time my God daughter had her pony tail cut off and donated it to a charity which made human hair wigs for children who had lost their own hair through treatment for cancer and in almost a throwaway comment it was suggested I could wait a little longer and do the same! Had I realised how long it needed to be, how long it would take, and the what the inconvenience of having long hair meant I may well have thought twice! I have woken up with a mouthful of hair, I have trapped it in car windows, I have lost all peripheral vision, I have had to use conditioner, carry a comb and worst of all drive with the roof of my car in the raised position! However, as you will see from my other JustGiving page:
Donating through Justgiving is quick, easy and totally secure. It's also the most efficient way to sponsor me: Acorns Children's Hospice Trust gets your money faster and, if you're a UK taxpayer, Justgiving makes sure 25% in Gift Aid, plus a 3% supplement, are added to your donation.
So please sponsor me now!
Thanks are given to Wendy, proprietor of DY8 Designs in Market Street, Stourbridge who has volunteered her time and skill to make the final cut; it would be nice to think some of you may patronise her establishment in the future as a consequence.
